This is the second time that leaders who are members of STAR TAP networks met at an annual INET conference. Dr. Ruey-Beei Wu, Director of the NCHC, was among the group of international advisors at the gathering held on June 22 at INET99. Mr. Ken-Hsien Lin, a technical expert from the NCHC, also accompanied him as a representative of TANet2. As more and more networks converge on STAR TAP, policy and technical issues are becoming more complex. Peering and servicing user applications are of primary concern for TANet2 presently. Meeting the demand for Quality of Service is high on our agenda. Now that our regional Network Operation Centers and POPs are operational, the one-day meeting is a good forum for us and other networks of like status to exchange ideas and seek partnerships. It is also very constructive for members to voice their concerns.
